Child Welfare Training Collaborative

The Trauma 101 workshop is approved for one hour of continuing education for MSW (core), MFT and LPC (related), DECAL, FVIP, BCW and Division of Family and Children Services professional development hours.

We will be focusing on the effects of childhood trauma and ways that the larger community can be a part of reducing contributing factors by creating environments that instill hope and resilience in our children and families.

Creating Hope in the Midst of Trauma Panel

Panelists include:  Carlis V. Williams, Southeastern Regional Administrator, U.S. Administration for Children and Families (Region IV); Dr. Sarah Vinson, MD, Morehouse School of Medicine, Child & Adolescent and Forensic Psychiatry; Lane Pease, Program Director, Kate’s Club; and Rev. Dawn Britt, Childhood Trauma Advocate
